Melissa Morrell brings almost 15 years of marketing communications and public relations experience to the practice of real estate marketing & sales.

Her involvement with IKE Construction grew out of a year-long relationship as the company's marketing consultant. During such time, she helped launch the company's first-ever advertising, PR, direct mail and web programs.

Today, IKE Construction conducts an integrated marketing package inclusive of a rich web site including industry news, a customer portal and the latest information on its home inventory, a co-op advertising campaign, direct mail series and on-going PR efforts.

As an agent with Prudential C. Dan Joyner, Melissa exclusively marketed & sold IKE Construction homes for the past four years. Thus, new construction, and more specifically, IKE new construction, is her sole passion and focus. And, it shows. Melissa has been named a Multi-Millon Dollar Producer by Prudential C. Dan Joyner for 2004, 2005 and 2006. She also earned the distinction as a Fine Homes Specialist in 2005 for meeting the professional standards set by Prudential Real Estate for sales professionals who successfully list, market and transact sales of Fine Homes. Prudential C. Dan Joyner's definition of a Fine Home is a residence valued at $450,000 and up. For 2006 and 2007, Melissa was named the runner-up for "Listing Agent of the Year" for the N. Pleasantburg Office of Prudential C. Dan Joyner. The award was based on gross commission income on listings.

Melissa also serves as Project Coordinator, working with the company's custom home buyers during the homebuilding process. She also takes a lead role as part of IKE's Project Management team to expedite the sale of a spec home.

"That's why we at IKE do everything to make the process of purchasing and closing an IKE home occur with ease...from putting buyers in touch with our In-house Interior Designer to make selections and ensuring a positive home inspection to offering a comprehensive warranty and customer service program."

A native South Carolinian, she also knows the market, having lived with her husband and two daughters, Ashley, age 9, Hannah, age 6, and Ty, age 18 months, in the Simpsonville area for the last 12 years.

Both her mother-in-law (Pam Morrell, named 2003 REALTOR of the Year for SC) and mother (Sammie Ferrigan, Prudential Carolina agent) are REALTORS, providing Melissa with an even greater pool of knowledge and resources when it comes to servicing homebuyers in the market for custom homes.

A graduate of the University of South Carolina's School of Journalism, Melissa takes on select freelance writing assignments with a number of Upstate and regional lifestyle publications, is an active member of her church and is a certified aerobics instructor teaching a wide variety of fitness classes with the YMCA in Simpsonville.
